Around the stacks from rhoscolyn

Fast tidal streams, big cliffs and a few caves make the trip around The Stacks a good one on any day, with the obvious caveat that this depends how lumpy you like your kayaking to be. We generally favoured ‘lumpy - but not too lumpy’. This was one of those days.

It’s also a trip that can be completed remarkably quickly if you wish to sit off-shore and literally go with the flow. We did this for a short while, before cutting in to find a different sort of entertainment close to the cliffs.

Some of us found themselves a little too close for comfort and I think everyone’s boat had some damage before the end.

Reflecting on a day well spent.
