The first running of the Hartsop Hop and my first race as RO. Something of a baptism by fire but a fantastic day, supported by a team including members of Pennine, Glossopdale, Buckley and Clayton, as well as Paul and Lou from Kong Running.

Incredibly hot, tough conditions, with only one runner finishing inside five hours and close to two thirds of the 100 strong field choosing to retire…
